I Corinthians 10: 12-14
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

We should never be confident and secure in our own ability to withstand temptation against Satan. It is only with the strength of God that we can keep from falling into a trap that Satan has so deceptively set.
Satan looks forward to the moment we think we have everything together on our own and we let down our guard.
God knows exactly how much we can bear and in his wise providence, either proportions our temptations to our strength or makes us able to grapple with them.
If we rely on Him and are faithful, we will be able to withstand anything Satan tries to throw at us. God will make a way of escape, but He won’t force you to take it. You have to make that decision on your own.
