Submit to God first and then you have the power to resist Satan.
James 4: 7-8;10
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
You can never just tell Satan to leave you alone in your own power or on your own terms, but he always has to flee when you confront him with God’s Power that is backing you. If you follow His instructions, you have the power to tell Satan to flee in the Name of Jesus.
The Bible also says that you are to be first in starting the process to seek God. He will always meet you exactly where you are and lead you in the right path from there. God wants YOU to be the one who desires Him, though. He won’t force Himself upon you to make you want to put Him first. When you make the first step, He will be there to help you.
When you start to get to KNOW Him and His Character, you will have a burning desire to get rid of sin in your life and be as clean as possible. There is nothing like having your life in order so that God can use you to do something great for Him. You start to see His supernatural work in your life, and you know that it is certainly not you doing those things.
It is totally amazing what God will do when you decide to commit your life to Him. It will be a decision you will never regret. Life will be different, but it definitely won’t be boring.
This is another Law of God. He gives a certain requirement for victory, and when you follow His instructions, you can be assured that He will act on your behalf.

We as Christians are to walk in obedience to God and be in subjection to Him. This is the main thing you need to do in order to live a victorious Christian life.
When you seek God first, He will show you everything you need to know as you need to know it. Then all you have to do is OBEY. God is well pleased with His children who obey Him.
He always has your best interest at heart, so He wants you to put all your trust in Him, try Him, and see the wondrous things He will accomplish in your life.
